Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival is one of the most exciting times of the year. This tradition highlights Steamboat's unique Western heritage and history of winter sports. This year celebrates the 107th Annual Winter Carnival.
With everything from snow sculpture competitions and street events downtown to setting records for the nation's largest fireworks, Winter Carnival is 4 days of non-stop fun! The main events will take place Saturday and Sunday, February 8th and 9th, with the street events taking place on Saturday, downtown from 9 am to 12 pm, and the Night Extravaganza at 7 pm Saturday night. Don't miss the Lighted Man and the Winter Sports Club kids skiing down Howelsen Hill, followed by the most amazing fireworks show you'll ever see! Sunday morning will hold more street events downtown from 9 am-12 pm.
